Our History can be traced back to a conference in 1986 when a group of ministers and others met in the south-east of England. From this London Presbyterian Conference a call went out to form a group of churches adhering to the Westminster Confession of Faith which could become a Presbytery.
The Presbyterian Association of England was then formed, has grown and renamed itself as the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of England and Wales.
The first meeting of Durham Presbyterian Church was on 23/8/1987. Some key dates are:
1992 January – DPC formally constituted
1999 April – Chapel building purchased
1999 Sep – Thanksgiving Service for Chapel
2002 Jan – Service recognising Brian Norton as minister
